A quarter of Gen Zers polled in February noted "not finding love" as their greatest worry, according to an EduBirdie survey of 2,000 participants from the generation. Finding a life partner was one of the biggest perceived challenges for 22% of those polled — a bigger concern for them than finding meaningful career opportunities. Some Zoomers seem to be getting married at younger ages and while they're jumping the broom and starting families, a number of unpartnered Gen Zers are dealing with anxiety about their romantic future. For Gen Zers looking for love, the playing field is a little different than that of Millennials when they were in their 20's. Really assess the quality of the connections in your life because loneliness can affect you even when you're surrounded by people.

China announced "historic" steps to stabilize the crisis-hit property sector on May 17, 2024, allowing local governments to buy "some" apartments, relaxing mortgage rules and pledging to deliver unfinished homes. These and other measures announced Friday marked Beijing's latest efforts to address issues in the massive real estate sector. The real estate companies can then use funds earned from those sales to complete construction on other apartments, the central bank said. Pre-sold, unfinished homesFor years, many apartments in China tended to be sold before construction was finished. Nomura estimated last year there were around 20 million such pre-sold, unfinished apartments in China.

The stock market is in the early stages of a period of rising retail investor activity, and that could bode well for Robinhood Markets , according to Bank of America. The bank double upgraded the online brokerage and financial service provider to buy from underperform on Friday, raising its price target to $24 from $14, implying about 34% upside in the shares. "Retail engagement peaked in 2021 and then declined significantly through the > 500bps of Fed rate hikes and the 2022 bear market, troughing in 2023," Bank of America analyst Craig Siegenthaler said in a note. "However, following the emergence of a new bull market last year, we have monitored a rebound in multiple metrics at Robinhood Markets … and we expect this to continue through 2026." Siegenthaler said a rise in retail engagement can drive 44% organic growth, margin loan utilization and more than 60% year-over-year trading activity that can drive payment for order flow.

Frontier Airlines said it will stop charging customers a fee to change their flights, taking a page from larger competitors as the Biden administration issues stricter rules targeting so-called "junk fees." Frontier currently charges up to $99 to change flights if the change is made within a week of the trip, according to the airline's website. Larger rivals Delta , American and United scrapped change fees during the Covid-19 pandemic for travelers who were booked in standard economy class and above. "The truth is the big four all have no change fees on the majority of their products, so we were not as desirable," Biffle said. He said change fees were a "top complaint" of travelers.

The U.K.'s Competition and Markets Authority cleared Microsoft's AI partnership with Mistral of regulatory concerns after previously inviting views on whether the arrangement qualified as a merger. Now, the regulator says it's no longer looking into Microsoft's investment in Mistral. It has given no update on its inquiries into the Amazon-Inflection deal and into Microsoft's hiring of employees from Inflection. Microsoft previously denied its deals with OpenAI and Mistral and hiring of employees from Inflection constituted mergers.
